Front lot of GPS
Identical lot in back of this one where GPS is.
One Problem, Grand Prairie will not allow a Concrete or Asphalt lot. So no Garage, no Lot.
Talked to Jimmy Johnson at GPS Qoute, "I'm Game". That means he's willing to listen to ideas and see if we (online forums) can find a way to make this work for meets. This might be a cool place for some other forums, just not the dream place for drivers I envisioned. Horray for them, today them, tomorrow us.
Looking left from the entrace to GPS
Looking right at GPS entrance
looking NW toward building in front of GPS entrance
Looking toward GPS track about 5 poles front lot 4 second lot 9 poles total
Old building but on Concrete, and probably can be rebuilt?
Looking in rear view at end of lot toward GPS entrace you can see the GPS sign
Distance from road to building on lot

Re: THE STABLE?
Except for a couple trees, some brush and a creek ha ha. Less development makes it cheaper. The back lot in front of the GPS track has lights.

If your referring to GPS then Nothing. Not possible there. Turns out its a floodplain area and the city refuses to allow even 12x20 concrete pads ( to work on cars). If your referring to STABLE, there is a reason I posted it in this section...Were trying to figure it out.
Help us out here TH.
I being the key word here, want to slide around a little closer to home. I have two kids and would rather not drag them around all over Texas (I'm not a native Texan, so no network, only here a few years). Another goal of mine (me) would be to share a garage with some DIY guy's. I really don't need the city all over me about code violations. overall, I just want to lower cost, by bringing the sport closer to home, have somewhere were to work on projects, and somewhere to local to slide for kicks without law violations. We are in Dallas, we should be able to get something going right? Just reducing the distance would multiply the interest IMO (right?)
I'm thinking the more people, the lower the cost. I ain't got D1 money, anybody here tyring to go pro? Not me, just trying to have some harmeless fun.

Re: THE STABLE?
haha yea it would be nice. but to be honest we are spoiled being able to have mineral wells events only an hour and a half away and only costing 40 bucks to drift all day. most events in the US are about $175 and you get about 2 or 3 hours of seat time. thats it. I just saying good luck finding somewhere local to slide. If you do thatll be sick I'm just saying its going to be really really hard

You Don't read threads much huh Max? lol.
I say we take what we can and work things out from there.
Its better than nothing IMO.
Re: THE STABLE?
yea, im still goin to mineral wells, but this lot idea looks pretty good too, jsut have to clean it up a bit, and add some things and we'll be good to go. they should tear down the stadium and use that area, that'd be sweet.

Exactly. We do have one more angle we might be able to work at GPS. I was asking how the Insurance Auto Action (IAA) was able to pave their entire lot (like four football fields together) turns out they pay some fine.

I'm going to find out how much that is and add it to the costs of leasing, building and maintaining, then move on to other prospects/options. This is REALLY expensive, I'm pretty sure the project will end up going another direction.

Re: THE STABLE?
i was trying to do that with big town before i even knew it was a drift spot. alot of money and time (years) to build ( i had investors ready with cash) we couldnt get approval from the city for motorsports. the investors turned away after a while. good idea just sayin easier to find an empty lot than tryin to build 1. realistically over 1 million to build a lot new. but if sumthin does happen i could get the same investors probly.

Re: THE STABLE?
Which city was it?
lucky for us; we have lot's of options. I went by this city next to Beford (I think) and it was perfect. They had this huge emplty lot and the city is pretty delapitated like it's going broke, a city like that might be more open to motorsports

I've had my G for awhile now, my wife is thinking about a G37, but we may take advantage of the low rates and buy a little house.
