goodbye pignose!
new cookie- uh i mean kouki bumper.
picked up one at abc's auto salvage yard in azel today.
came off a '91.
70 bucks, not bad i don't think.
it has 2 minor cracks on each side of the bottom lip
and the paint is chipped in a few spots,
but i'm happy with it.
it doesn't match my paint so.. what should i do?
try to match it with spray paint?
get it professionally painted to match?
or leave it and pain the whole car later on?
(my car needs a new coat anyway)
i'll have to get newer quarter panels too..
it doesn't exactly match the panels on my '90.
i noticed it makes my car look really high with a stock suspension too.
don't want to cut my springs, but i don't want to wait till i can afford coilovers ether.
suggestions?
i'm trying to get a pic of it off my phone, but i'm not sure how..
i'll get one up later.

Re: goodbye pignose!
Leave it like that until you can get it proffesionally color matched, also I have stock s14 (95) springs that you can cut and use until you get some coil overs, they're sitting in my garage doing me no good.

seriously? like, for real? lol that'd be awesome.
but i'm wondering, what all does cutting your springs accomplish?
obviously it lowers the car's height, and center of gravity..
but does it make a stiffer suspension?
my friend's s13 has cut springs, and he hates them.
i guess whoever cut them did them wrong, but he said it bounces a lot more.

Lower the car and center of gravity, yeah. I seriously doubt it'd stiffen your suspension though. I'll let you have my springs for free so you can test out the cut spring theory without ruining yours and have a more aggressive look until you can afford some coilovers

Re: goodbye pignose!
We could meet tonight but it's about to storm bad, and tomorrow night looks okay. What time are you wanting to head out this way? If you meet me somewhere close I can meet you at pretty much anytime. Northwest highway and garland rd is right off 635 which would make things easier on you
