Just a few questions for you guys.
I joined this site to meet some koo individuals and learn to drift in the same process...but I have to admit...im a lil affraid of what will go on my car first. Drifting runs your car pretty hard right? Well what (besides transmission) can i expect to break or potentially be a problem to look out for?

Re: Just a few questions for you guys.
First of all you'll need tires.
I'm not familiar with Z31's but I recommend you check out your suspension and make sure they are strong enough to withstand abuse. and beef up parts as needed.

yeah where do u guys get your tires from?? As for as suspension goes im not sure as well. My suspension is adjustable from the inside but not sure on how much abuse they can take. my best bet is to go with something aftermarket.

Re: Just a few questions for you guys.
What Tire sizes are you looking for?
Since you're just starting out its not really necessary to upgrade suspension but better to replace shit before they break ya know what I mean?

Re: Just a few questions for you guys.
Only thing that happened to my 240 was popping tires. You'd think drifting would do a lot of wear and tear on the car but as long as you don't redline it it's fine. But, just go to your local mexican tire shop and get the used ones for 15$ a piece you just burn them off anyways
Re: Just a few questions for you guys.
lawl, why does it have to be mexican, race isnt everything you know?
Re: Just a few questions for you guys.
they're the only ones who'll risk putting those shitty tires on your car and getting sued
Re: Just a few questions for you guys.
i guess so, but even when the economy is bad, race doenst matter, any race will do anything to make money.

Next week im just goin to a jy or this z31 place in Fort Worth. Just goin to get a separate set of rear wheels and tires. that way I can just switch whenever I go drift!
Mexican shp?? They have them out here haha. I know Houstin and Port Arthur did. Ill have to go look around Arlington!

The link makes some good overall suggestions about how to build a reliable car, AEZ31 was asking about reliability when he's asked what he can expect to break.

Re: Just a few questions for you guys.
I'm pretty sure it means the tread falls off the tire.
