Was up everyone new guy to the site and to drifting. Hope to learn alot from everyone here. I have an 84 Anniversary 300zx T. Very nice car and the VG30ET is a beast of a motor. I have some minor things to do to the car before i start but getting another VG30ET to have built. Heres my car. Hope to see you guys around!

What are your plans for the car?

Yeah man decided to come aboard and learn how to really drive yo!! I live in Arlington.. how far is Plano?? Im still pretty new up here.

Yo man how bout u drive it lol that way I can see what my car can really do!! Its pretty nice but with everything stock it doesn't run like i know it can. I have a couple of things i Need to get down to it before I start any type of anything lol. Think im leaking power steering fluid... i wont be able to look under it till the weekend. The stock suspension is well...stock haha and is none to impressive at all.

I plan on getting another motor built. Its a W series VG30ET. Goin z32 forged pistons & rods, 3" from turbo to muffler no cat, 420cc injectors, 255 walbro fuel pump, change every seal, metal head gaskets, thinking about jwt cams, jwt ecu or go with nistune, z32 maf, already have an intercooler so just need piping and blowoff valve, tokico illuminum 5 way adj, not sure on springs yet...but thats pretty much my list for right now some things will be added. I get the motor in like 2 weeks so just really concentrating on having that engine built. don't know any great shops yet but there is a shop in Plano willing to do it.

arlington is about a 40 min drive to garland (ouchhh) and idk how far from plano. Maybe not the best idea to come to the meet tonight unless you're really bored and have gas to burn. But, you should mos def come with us to mineral wells cause it's an all day thing

yeah just looked it up. Its about an hour to Plano haha low on cash till next week so that sucks. Is the mineral wess event on the 20th?? Im deffinatley goin to check that one out. Hopefully ill have my new cat back. NEED MORE FLOW!!! bad haha!!

well shittt worse comes to worse you can remove the exhaust to drive to mineral wells. Turbo recquires no back pressure

yeah just seen it. I must have mistaked it for something i seen on dallasimports.net lol. nice all those days are right after i get paid haha! Hopefully i will pregress pretty well through out these events.

You don't need any mods to start drifting, if you go look through the vids and see the black 240sx and the white one they're both stock! it's all a matter of knowing your car. BUT, mods are there for a reason and do help lol

yeah but with this stock exhaust im being restricked alot. its not letting me get to my higher rpms.... its pissing me off lol. i get to about 4k and its hard to move it over that at times.

that sucks, how much you lookin at for a new exhaust?

Well the bad thing is no one really makes aftermarket parts for the z31. There are a few people but you pay high dollar. I don't mind paying don get me wrong but its like damn haha. Thezstore has a downpipe and exhaust for about 290 and this place called CM has one from the turbo back and its in the upper five hundreds. I was thinking of going to a local like muffler shop and have one custom. 3" all the way back to a good size muffler, possible with a resonator. I wouldn have to worry about an O2 sensor because its before the turbo..if i remember correclty. The only thing is they probably don't do mandrel bends. Im going to check out a couple of local shops to see what they can do before I buy one online.

Did you already research what effects your car would have with a 3inch downpipe? It's possible it may get boost creep. But, your car is a nissan so maybe not.

Yes all the guys i have talk to on different forums go three inches all the way back from turbo without any problem. So 3" would be my best bet to get the most out of my v6. The stock shit is horrible small.

Alright, that's cool. I'm sure you can go to a muffler place like AAA and get it all done for about 150, if not less. I just heard some turbo'd cars get boost creep with a 3 inch downpipe for some reason

hmmm really?? Never heard that about the z31s but il check into that and see. Yeah i figured about 150 as well, Ill find out Friday or Saturday.

As I look under it I can see the downpipe is routed up in between the car and something...just took a glimpse at it. hmmmm I will have to look at it again cause all the guys on z31performance.com have 3". Just have to figure out how they routed it and if any modifications were made.

The guy was probably an idiot and just said that. If stock exhaust fits they're not going to make it where there's no room between the car and the exhaust
