Window amp repair - Window won't roll up or down
A TDS Exlcusive.....
Don't REPLACE and Don't throw that old window amp away if you have already bought a new one! Most of the time it just needs a little solder on a broken point on the circuit according to

This DIY fix takes 15min to 1hr depending on your skill level and experience.
Just remove your door panel according to the fsm,
remove the window amp
either by
unscrewing the 10mm bolts under the amp,
or pry the box from the clip that holds it to the door (careful the guides that hold it on to the clip break pretty easy this way).
Once removed,
open the window amp by prying the white box from the black lid. It's hard to open this little bugger, I pried it with a screwdriver. I seen Ben open it much easier I'll have to ask him the secret. I know part of the secret is using a small flat headscrewdriver and poking the little tab below the window amp connectors not in red x but green box. See the marks I left?

Now don't pry or pull the circuit board out of the window amp box with any tools, just firmly tap the open end of the window amp box on your palm and it will slide right out. This is the top side.

This is the bottom side. On this board you will be soldering by that yellow dash in the top right corner. Their could be more than one broken solder point and the location varies.

Here is a closer shot, notice how the bottom right corner point, the one to the left of the yellow line, doesn't have any solder? It looks faded compared to the other shinier ones.

This is the top side of where that point goes (pin 5)

just solder, reconnect the amp and check to see if it works before closing it up, if it works; close it up.
completed board (notice all points in the back row are even now).

Sounds like it's time to check the refund policy and fix that one.
