Some News About Me
Hey people of TDS. I wanted to let everyone know I have been busy, that is why I havent been on that much. I am working on getting some tech articles up, but it is taking longer then expected so yea...
But I wanted to let everyone know that I am working to get this forum/team sponsored. I am talking to Zclinic of Austin. They specialize in mainly Nissan Z cars, but they do specialize in Nissan/Infinity cars as well. They do have a racing team called ZRacing, but im going to see if I can get them to sponsor us, or atleast give us discounted parts. They already seem a little interested, but not 100% sure yet
Other news is I am also getting a Nissan Titan instead of the 350Z. I am getting the Titan so I can haul around cars and parts, and because it would be easier to get right now. I am still going to get a 350Z but most likely after I graduate. So if anyone needs something towed or what not, I can help out when I am free, I wont have the truck for a couple more months, because I need a down payment and with the amount im getting payed at Jiffy Lube, that shouldnt be hard.
I have resurrected the 300 back to life, but with how bad the water pump is, it will take a few more weeks to get up to dallas but I should be up between the 16th and the 30th. And I will most likely be staying the whole weekend (comming friday night, leaving sunday night) so if I could crash at someones place, that would be bad ass, if not then I would only be able to stay friday and leave saturday night.

Re: Some News About Me
ZtheD,
Who said you need Down payment?
I've bought like 4 cars and I've never needed a down, talk to me man even if it's PM. Look, just get financed aka preapproved and shop around by OTD price. That means total cost. No surprises, no haggling APR, Warranties, Tire moniters, Gap Insurance , etc. Just buy the car/truck, buy Gap Insurance from your bank, its cheaper.
When I buy a Car I get a general idea of the cost say my G 16,700. I get approved for 20.000 knowing that I already have the money to cover anything less. All you do is fax a bill of sale that includes Vin, and both seller/buyer and terms including TTL (oops, my banks in San Francisco) so you take the seller (if it's private) to the bank and do it all there. If it's a dealer they know what to do (make sure the price they send to the bank is correct, they will jack you). Only haggle OTD PRICE, don't bother with payment. You can lower your payment by asking your bank what the longest term for the loan is when getting approved. For example. my loan with TTL was like almost 18k, I had a choice of a 36, 48 or 60 month loan, I chose the 60 month and my payment was 300.
I have litteraly been asked to leave dealerships for demanding an invoice of the Vehicle when they won't listen to how much I want to pay. I say, show me what it costs you and I'll give you $500 dollars over your total costs. I don't go to walmart and pay $10.00 for a $2.00 dollar item.

my only problem is, I dont have much credit, and Ive tried getting loans but I havent held a job for 6 months, my bank will only give me a loan if I have had a job for 6 months...
and the only people that have good credit, help me out... so yea... and with me going through college, financing is the best option...
Re: Some News About Me
hey brad. have you decided on exact date on when you coming out, so i can ask my pops on a more ideal time.
Re: Some News About Me
ZTheD,
Solution: just Wait until you qualify. Is there anyway you can wait to buy the car? I don't ever let anyone use my credit because I read somewhereit was 1 of the top 5 way's to ruin your credit. More than the credit score is the value that I place on relationships, its just not worth losing friends and family.

Re: Some News About Me
Yup yup, when your ready, try to go private + check carfax make sure it has a buyback guarntee. If you go to the dealers only talk OTD price. .
If your trading in have it appraised by CarMax, and have the dealerships agree to buy your car at that price, or just sell it private and get the most out of it. Faster to just have it all done in one place that's why I take the appraisal to the dealer, they''re are more flexable with the price of the car you want this way too, especially if the bid for the car is high from other dealerships (the car is selling to other dealers while your wating).

Re: Some News About Me
well my car failed inspection, the inspector said that the power steering pump and loudness is what f'ed me...
okay, the PSP I can see, but the exhaust? WTF? all I did was put new OEM downpipes and put the whole HKS exhaust on it... no more HiFlows for me.... I mean its only a 3.0 V6 DOHC with a 3-3.5 Exhaust... and for some reason, some of my tread was gone.... ass whole!
But now my exhaust sounds beautiful, its not Japanese Muscle any more, but its a humming now.
oh and my car has a name now, Its Ayoki( A-yo-key)
This clip isnt mine but sounds exzactly what it sounds like now...
